Soooo....an interesting thing happened today in the world of the SYTYCDC blogosphere.
A commenter, going only by 'anonymous' pointed out something from last Thursday's results show that Carra and I failed to notice:
Here's why this bothers us (I'm taking the opportunity to speak for Carra here as well)...When you're on this show and you're in the position to Dance For Your Life, it is your opportunity to differentiate yourself from the rest and show people exactly who you are and what your dance is all about. By copying a previous competitor's solo, you're not showing us who you are, you're showing us who that other competitor is.
Additionally, if you are going to copy someone else's solo, at least be able to do it as good if not better than the original. Comparing the two, Natalli didn't accomplish that, at least in my opinion.
So, what do you think? Do you agree with us or do you think we're completely off our respective nuts?
Also, I'm going to throw this out there for all you eagle eyed viewers: This is not the first time we've missed something and - it's early on in the season - it certainly won't be the last! If you see anything you think should be commented on in a recap or deserves a post of its own, add a comment, or email us at popgoestheword@gmail.com. Oh, and Anonymous, next time let us know who you are so we can give credit where credit is due!

Hey Romina might be skinny, but she is original... Natalli's solo, I don't know, it seems a bit similar to Heidi's solo from so you think you can dance US season 2... take a look for yourself.Now, Anonymous may have been trying to be subtle with his/her 'a bit similar' comment. Seriously...click on both links and have a look. You can hardly tell who's who! Down to the dress, Natalli has done a virtual direct copy of Heidi's solo.

In comparison to other seasons I don't feel that the judging is as effective- I wonder why they are so scared to give feedback? Any thoughts?
