Before we get to the Top 14 Performance show recap tonight, I wanted to fill you in on a few things here on the blog.
This past Sunday marked the one year anniversary of Pop Goes the Word. I meant to post a little something on Sunday, but we all know how time can get away from me! It's been a great year with lots of fun and much snark and we appreciate you visiting and sharing it with us.
August was also a record month for us in terms of blog visits. No wonder, considering how much was going on on the SYTYCD front! For those of you new to site, we're glad you found us and for those of you who keep coming back, we really appreciate it.
Also, for those that missed it, we've added a guest blogger to our roster. My sister Carly will be popping in from time to time to add comments to our recaps and filling in here and there when we just can't pull it together. So in addition to my comments in white, Carra's in pink, look for Carly's in green.
I've made a couple of format changes that I thought I should let you know about. First of all, Dick Clark Entertainment has gone completely crazy with pulling SYTYCD videos off of YouTube. I don't really understand why, considering they don't release SYTYCD on DVD, so it's not like they're losing money, but what do I know? So if you're reading an older post and it seems like it's missing a video, it probably is. For the time being, I've just removed the videos that don't work anymore.
Secondly, for some of the really long posts (particularly the performance show recaps), I've reformatted them with a 'jump'. So what you'll see displayed on the front page of the blog is the first paragraph or two of the post followed by a 'Keep Reading!' link. Click on that link to read the remainder of the post. This saves you some scrolling on the front page and tends to make the blog load a bit faster. The most recent post will be displayed in full on the front page...until it isn't the most recent anymore! ;)
Anyway, that's it for now. I'm back later today with the SYTYCD Canada Top 14 Performance show recap and Carra will be back on Wednesday with the Results as well as the SYTYCD US auditions.
