From ten down to eight! It’s results night in Canada.
We start the show with a group number choreographed by Stacey Tookey to ‘Hometown Glory’ by Adele. For some reason this really reminded me of the group number Mia choreographed last year; Not because of any blatant similarities, just the feel of it. Really nice.
Straight to results as always and the girls are up first. Amy’s not safe. Kim is safe. Tara Jean is safe. Jayme Rae is safe and Melanie is in the bottom two. I’m thinking Amy’s back stage packing her bags.
On to the guys. Everett is safe. Cody is in the bottom two. Vincent is safe. Emanuel is safe and Austin’s in the bottom two. I don’t know about this one. My gut says Austin, but I had a big lunch, so that could just be indigestion.
Solos on now. They mean nothing now, but we’re doing them anyway.
Amy’s up first dancing to ‘Belief’ by Gavin DeGraw. It’s nice enough, but I sort of get a resigned feeling from her.
On to Melanie dancing to ‘18th Floor Balcony’ by Blue October. Cute solo. She’s so good.
Next up is Cody dancing to ‘Butterfly’ by Jason Mraz. I like that Cody doesn’t always necessarily pick standard hip hop music for his solos. Nice job.
Finally it’s Austin dancing to ‘Genesis’ by Justice. This is different for him. Lots of popping, a little more hip hop than usual for him. Kinda cool.
Jean Marc says both girls are amazing dancers and he’s glad he doesn’t have to pick who’s going home. Lowest vote getter for the girls is Amy and she’s going home. Amy’s very cute with her farewells with not one note of snark.
On to the guys and Tre says they’re both strong dancers with lots of potential. Going home tonight is Austin. Well there you go.
So that’s it for tonight. Carra’s got book club tonight, so I’ll be back in a bit with the New Orleans auditions for SYTYCD US.
